Custom Fit Shelving for Dressing Room
I needed a narrower profile storage system for my closet that I am upgrading to a dressing room. I wanted the shelving to fit around a big mirror, and the base to be enclosed so it's easy to clean the floors around the base.
This is a giant project - 7 feet tall by 8 feet wide, so I broke it up into the two outer towers, and then added the middle shelves.
It took me about two days, working a few hours each day. The first day I prepainted all the pieces and let them dry.
The second day I built the two towers using pocket holes. Then I drilled the shelf pin holes. This took about an hour each tower.
Then I put everything together in the closet, hung the mirror and added the light.
The cost of the configuration with shipping was right at $350 - which is incredible since it's all 3/4" thick PureBond Plywood and custom made for my closet.
Here is the configuration I used:
I can tell you, I have never been so happy in my life to have a closet with this much storage and that mirror with the light is a dream!
